How much is a wedding photographer?

My cousin is getting married and needs one, how much do they cost and any recommendations?

Christian weddings will cost less than a for example, an indian wedding, because the photographer will be needed for less days. An "alright" photographer will charge a minimum of Rs4,000 a day while a professional photographer can cost you around Rs10,000 per day if not more.

Bear in mind that wedding photographers adjust their rates depending on what sort of events they will have to shoot. For a muslim wedding, the bride will normally want lots of pictures of the mehendi designs whilst hindus will want nice pictures of the religious ceremonies to be taken throughout. So the total number of shots can bring the fees charged up as well.

The fees will depend on certain factors like the number of days that the photographer has to be present or the number of photos to be taken; one of the photographers from the l’express newspaper covered someone’s wedding and the rates were at Rs12,000 for 3days. It can be more or less for other photographers then.
