There's a Computer Misuse and Cyber Crime Act 2003 for Mauritius and it doesn't say anything about hiding your IP address being illegal.

I suppose that as long as the purpose of faking your IP is not for doing any criminal activity, you'll be fine. There are genuine reasons why someone would want to hide his IP, for example, to remain anonymous on the internet, but you should be careful that you're not breaking the ToC (Terms & Conditions) of the website you're visiting as some sites require that a real IP is used when you connect to their server to access information.

I don't think spoofing your IP is illegal unless you're planning on doing some dodgy thing on the internet, lol.

What do you have in mind, btw?
